EMULEX® 1000 Gassed Blend Series are water-resistant gassed products and designed to be pumped from a bulk delivery truck through a loading hose lowered to the bottom of the blast hole.
This product is developed for both wet and dry hole blasting conditions in small diameter quarrying and open cut mining. It can be used as a 100% emulsion product or blended with up to 40% ammonium nitrate porous prills (ANPP) by weight for use in wet holes. This provides control over bulk strength and gas volume thus achieving variation in heave performance to meet different blasting requirements.
Having variable surface gassed density from 1.05g/cc to 1.25g/cc provides greater control of bulk strength and explosive energy distribution. Owing to the flexibility of density adjustment, Emulex® 1000 Gassed Blend Series permits blasting parameters to be optimized and ensure superb blasting performance.
In order to meet the requirement from both local and overseas customers, various formulation of bulk emulsion has been developed. The most common bulk emulsion selected to best suit for the application are EMULEX® B-Power 1000 and Emulex® 1000LD.
EMULEX® B-Power 1000 from EMULEX® 1000 Series shares the same characteristics and properties of explosive strength, velocity of detonation, stability, and shelf life, but has better performance under unfavorable environment such as high temperature variation and high water table at certain blasting ground conditions.
It performs tremendously well in cavity hole due to its higher viscosity characteristic. Wastage due to leakage will be reduced. EMULEX® B-Power 1000 provides excellent control of bulk strength and gas volume with the ease of varying explosive charge distribution that allows blasting pattern to be optimized and ultimate blast performance requirements to be achieved. It provides complete coupling in the blast-hole, which will assist in improve fragmentation.
EMULEX® 1000LD possess the same characteristic properties as EMULEX® 1000 Series, but possessing longer shelf life and longer sleep time properties. EMULEX® 1000LD is designed for overseas market that require longer delivery time. EMULEX® 1000LD has a minimum shelf life of 6 months when transported and stored correctly. Owing to this special characteristics, TKSB manages to export bulk emulsion product to neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and many others in the region.
