Among the facilities available in TKSB is our Emulex® packaged high explosives manufacturing plant. With a capacity to manufacture about 6000MT of cartridge emulsion explosives annually, TKSB is considered the largest explosive manufacturer in the South East Asia region. Products are exported throughout the Asia Pacific countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia for their quarrying, construction and mining applications.

TKSB has also supplied their off-shore and inland seismic explosives to countries internationally such as Sudan, Bangladesh, Brunei and others.

With a vast experience in the explosives manufacturing industry, the company accredited ISO 9001 certification, is able to undertake any explosives contract from the licensed-to-sell customer.

Our modern continuous processing plant comprises the functions of oxidizer/fuel preparations, mixing, cartridging and final product packaging systems. It also integrates reliable process control systems with monitoring of critical parameters from a control room. Besides this, many high level safety features are incorporated into the production plant with automatic overloading interlocking system.

Here in TKSB, safety practices are the main priority in all our daily operations. Our manufacturing plant is designed and constructed according to Federation of European Explosive Manufacturers (FEEM) standards. The explosive production facilities are mounded and broken down into several stages. Separation distances are kept to ensure that propagation does not occur between each explosive facilities as well as between production and storage facilities.
