With our strong commitment and ability in research and development, TKSB has developed water-in-oil based bulk emulsion high explosive products which can be sensitised by chemical gassing to become booster sensitive bulk explosives. Started as a pilot research plant, the facilities expanded into a full scale bulk emulsion manufacturing plant in 1991 capable of producing 15,000MT annually based on a single production-shift. Being one of the pioneers in bulk emulsion manufacturing in this region, TKSB supplies bulk emulsion not only to most of the quarries and mineral mining sites in Malaysia but also exports to Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and many other countries in this region for open pit or underground blasting activities.
TKSB’s bulk emulsion manufacturing plant is equipped with advanced and reliable production facilities such as modern dispersion and emulsification system, chemical mixing and blending stations, heat generation and exchange equipments as well as emulsion storage and discharge system. Plant automation is integrated into each system to enable effective and efficient process and quality control. Owing to the requirement of high safety standard and our motto “Safety First”, transducers and safety shut-off devices are installed throughout the process lines to monitor important process parameters. We will not compromise to any potential safety hazard.
Our plant is regularly inspected and audited by external professional bodies and experts from both local and foreign countries in order to ensure that we have strict compliance in operational and safety practices to international standards. References to guidelines in the AEMSC (Australian Explosives Manufacturers Safety Committee) Code of Good Practice are our operational standards and practices.
